Celebrating the 2018 International Day of Families

To support the 2018 International Day of Families, Parent Zone has dedicated its homepage to resources and articles that help promote more resilient and healthy digital family life.

The International Day of Families has been observed on 15 May every year since its institution by the UN General Assembly in 1993. The UN established the International Day of Families to “provide an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting them.”

This year, the day is themed around inclusive societies, and the important role that families have to play in that. With this in mind, Parent Zone will spend 15 May celebrating and promoting this message, with particular regard to building families’ resilience online.

Parent Zone will be dedicating its homepage to articles and information that can help families have a more productive and positive online experience.

This includes a free download covering the latest information and updates on YouTube Kids – an app that plays a big part in many children’s first interactions with online content in family homes.
