 In-school trainers

This is a full time role, working on a range of Parent Zone in-school projects. We are looking for trainers who will work out of London or Manchester.

  • We are looking for a team of dynamic trainers who can command the attention of some of the toughest audiences around, namely school children, teachers, and parents. You will present in-school sessions, including assemblies, classroom workshops, parent sessions and staff training, delivering content on a wide range of online safety issues.
  • A background in education is preferable. Teaching experience or proof of relevant work experience around young people is necessary.
  • You will need to be a team player who can engage an audience of hundreds of children, groups of teaching staff, or a handful of parents, whilst presenting with conviction and clarity. Turning up and reading a script is not in the job description.
  • You will be able to understand the curricula we work from and be open to learning more about this fast-moving subject area.
  • You will be aware of the sensitivities that surround our projects and Parent Zone’s wider work. In your role, you will act as an ambassador for Parent Zone, our partners and our clients.
  • You will be vetted to ensure you’re qualified to work in a school environment (Enhanced DBS check).
  • Your working hours must be flexible during term time and the role will sometimes require you to be based away from home overnight.

Skills and experience:

  • You will have knowledge of, and an interest in, the challenges that face families and young people living in a digital world.
  • You must be a resilient and reliable team player, keen and enthusiastic in equal measure.
  • You will have experience of working with and delivering to children and young people, preferably in an education setting.
