What is Be Internet Legends Day?

Be Internet Legends Day is the UK's annual celebration of what it takes to thrive online. Now in its fifth year, it brings pupils, staff, and families together to recognise the skills, knowledge, and confidence that make an Internet Legend — through assemblies, activities, and nominations that put your school's own Legends in the spotlight.

2026 marks a special milestone: 10 million children trained through Be Internet Legends. It's the perfect moment to celebrate how far we've come, and to shine a light on the Internet Legends already thriving in your school.

This year, it's about celebrating the five pillars that combine to make an Internet Legend:

• Be Internet Sharp
• Be Internet Alert
• Be Internet Secure
• Be Internet Kind
• Be Internet Brave

Together, these five pillars form the Legends code — the skills every child needs to be safe, savvy, and kind online.

• Plan your own day — ideas to make the event a full-day focus on safety and wellbeing
