Faith Rogow

Faith Rogow, Ph.D. (@InsightersEd) is an independent scholar, author of Media Literacy for Young Children: Teaching Beyond the Screen Time Debates (NAEYC 2022), and Media Literacy Education Maven at InsightersEducation.com. She was the founding president of the National Association for Media Literacy Education and an original editorial board member of the Journal for Media Literacy Education. She has taught thousands of students, professionals, policy makers and parents to understand and harness the power of media.

Dr Elly Hanson

Dr Elly Hanson is a Clinical Psychologist with a focus on preventing abuse and reducing its impact. She undertakes consultation, training and assessments, working with schools, the criminal justice system, charities and social workers. She is Research Director of the PSHE Association's Fully Human initiative and has authored a report on pornography's fundamental impact young people. She recently developed a preventative education resource for schools with Thinkuknow, Respecting me, you, us.

Dr David Zendle

Dr David Zendle (@davidzendle) is a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of York. He is one of the world’s leading experts on the social impacts of video game monetisation. Professor Julian McDougall

Professor Julian McDougall is Head of the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice at Bournemouth University. He runs university's doctoral programme in Creative and Media Education and convenes the annual International Media Education Summit. He edits the Journal of Media Literacy Education and Routledge Research in Media Literacy and Education, and has published books on media misinformation and virtual reality from a media literacy perspective.

Tracey Carpenter

Tracey is an Insider Threat Manager at Cifas and has a background in fraud prevention which includes detection, investigation and strategical.

Tracey also teaches via the Cifas Fraud and Cyber Academy and has recently taken on responsibility for updating the PSHE key stage Cifas Anti-Fraud lesson plans which educate children to the impact of fraudulent conduct.

Tracey is keen to ensure that children are protected from the harms that modern technology brings to children such as online approaches to commit dishonest activity.

Jim Knight, The Rt Hon Lord Knight of Weymouth

Jim Knight works in education, digital technology and as a legislator.

He is a director of Suklaa Ltd, providing advice to clients in education.

Jim is the Chair of E-Act Multi Academy Trust, the Digital Poverty Alliance and CAST. He is a board member of Century-Tech, MACAT International and GoBubble and sits on the advisory bodies for
Nord Anglia Education, and BETT. 

As a government minister and MP, Jim’s portfolios included rural affairs, schools, digital and employment. He was a member of Gordon Brown’s Cabinet, before joining the Lords in 2010.

Paul Finnis

Paul Finnis is the CEO of the Learning Foundation and Digital Poverty Alliance. Having worked in NGOs for 35 years, his focus for the last 20+ years has been equity in education.

In 2021, the Learning Foundation, Currys and the Institution of Engineering and Technology launched the Digital Poverty Alliance who lead an expansive community of public, private and third sector organisations working to end digital poverty once and for all by 2030.

Natalie Foos

Natalie Foos is the Director of VoiceBox, the international social enterprise run by young people, for young people.

At just 23 years old, Natalie has taken VoiceBox from a small start-up to an established organisation that continues to break the mould in important discussions around tech and mental health.

VoiceBox is proving to be an important bridge between young people and policymakers, offering a unique perspective in what she calls “the weird and wonderful of the internet.” She is the co-author of OnlyFans: exploitation or empowerment, and Munchausen by Internet.

Callum Hood

Callum Hood is Head of Research at the Center for Countering Digital Hate where he leads a global team investigating online hate and misinformation. He is responsible for the Center’s reports, including those exposing the deadly anti-vaxx industry and other malignant online actors, and how social media companies profit from disinformation on their platforms. Callum is based in the UK and employed by CCDH UK.
