Spot The Bot

The Spot the Bot Classroom Warm-Up gets students voting, debating, and looking closely at images, before you've said a word about how AI image generation actually works.

It's a printable card game: real photos paired with AI-generated ones, hyper-realistic animals, odd food combos, subtle celebrity-style edits. Show a pair, let the class vote on which is real, then reveal the answer and get them spotting the "AI tells" that gave it away. Run through three or four pairs and you've built a shared checklist as a class, deformed fingers, warped background text, lighting that's a bit too perfect.

Use it to open a lesson on AI or media literacy, or drop it into form time for a quick five-minute debate.
