Who can enter

The promotion is open to all UK citizens. All entries must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, aged 18 years or older. 

The competition is not open to Parent Zone’s employees or contractors and anyone connected with the promotion or their direct family members.

Closing date

The closing date for submissions is 23:59 on Wednesday 19 October 2022. 

Judging panel

The winning entries will be chosen by a panel of judges, consisting of representatives of Parent Zone, as well as independent participants. The judging panel’s decision as to the national and local winners is final and no correspondence relating to the promotion will be entered into.

Prizes

Four national winners will win a trip to London to see their entry on display in Westminster. The winners must be accompanied by at least one and up to two adults (including a legal guardian and/or a school teacher). The trip to London will include: 

• Travel expenses (up to a maximum of £250)
• £100 spending money 

Local winners (a maximum of 50 to be selected) will be invited to Westminster to see their entries on display on Wednesday 23 November 2022. Local winners will not receive travel expenses or spending money. 

One national winner will be selected from entrants aged 5-7, one from entrants aged 8-10, one from entrants aged 11-13 and one from entrants aged 14-15. Age will be considered at time and date of entry.

In the event of restrictions related to travel, national and local winners will be invited to a tour of Westminster at a suitable later date. 

Rules of entry

By entering the promotion, the participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Entrants should enter by following the method described in the competition promotion. Entries received after the closing date of the promotion will not be considered.

Entrants must supply their child’s name and age, their home address and personal email address to Parent Zone. Parent Zone will use entrants’ personal details in accordance with the Parent Zone Data Protection and Privacy Policy. 

Parent Zone reserves the right to request proof of age for all child entries. Only one entry will be permitted per child.  

Promotion

By entering, you agree for the entry and your child's first name and age to be used on display on the Parent Zone website and at Westminster, in a winners anthology, as well as for any promotion purposes related to the competition.

Prize winners

National winners will be notified within 10 days of the close of the promotion by email. If the winners cannot be contacted, or fail to respond within 10 days of such notification being sent, Parent Zone reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner-up.

The Westminster event is on Wednesday 23 November 2022. If you have to travel within school hours, please seek permission from your child’s school to attend the event.

National and local winners have to be available to attend the event on the day confirmed by Parent Zone. Parent Zone reserves the right to change the date of the Westminster event. In that case, a new date to visit Westminster will be offered at an appropriate time for travel. No alternative prize will be offered. There is no cash alternative and the prize will not be transferable. The prize must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. 

Parent Zone reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the promotion at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.

Parent Zone does not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed or fraudulent entries.

Parent Zone excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurring to the participant arising from his or her entry into the promotion or occurring to the winners arising from his or her acceptance of a prize.

The promotion is subject to the laws of England.
